"Little Town on the Prairie": Towns of Humboldt County Part 2!

With the success of the "Little Town on the Prairie": Towns of Humboldt County program series in 2023, we are hosting a part 2 in 2024! This time around we will have five towns to explore. Check out the information listed below to see what each program will cover and their dates. Each program will start at 2:00pm in the Clancy Classroom. Admission is just $5.00 for adults over 18 and children 18 and under are free! 

May 4th: Gilmore City

June 8th: Bode

July 6th: Rutland

August 3rd: Livermore

September 14th: Renwick

Humboldt Co. Historical Museum Genealogy Workshop

Have you ever wanted to dive into your family tree but didn't know where to start? Register for the Genealogy Workshop hosted by the Humboldt County Historical Museum! Our historians at the Museum will show you the tips and tricks of researching genealogy through physical and online resources. Registration begins April 1st, 2024! The registration fee is only $5.00 and snacks and refreshments will be served during the workshop. Check out the dates below and join us for some genealogy fun!

Museum Camp! (Children's Program)

Register your child for this fun day camp program! Guests will learn just what goes into running a Museum: accessioning, archiving, researching, tours, and more! Dates and times are listed below. Registration will begin April 1st, 2024 and is FREE to any child 7-18! Join us for some history fun this summer!

Fall Festival 2024

Come on out to the Museum this fall season and explore local history at the Fall Festival! Enjoy a stroll through local history with our historic buildings and collections, local area vendors and delicious food, and classic cars with special guests Humboldt County Model A Club. There is something for everyone waiting to explore at the Humboldt County Historical Museum!

Admission: $10.00 per adult over 18, children 18 and under are FREE

"Mill Farm Mystery!" Murder Mystery 2024

A scream erupts, "COME QUICK! THERE'S A BODY IN THE STUDY!!" The guests rush to the scene. The body lying on the floor is Mr. Robert Johnston, Banker and previous Mayor of Humboldt......and he's dead. Who could have done this? It's your turn to solve the mystery before the murder claims you next! Join us for a night of "thrilling" adventure this spooky season. Registration begins September 1st with admission being $10.00 per person ages 15 and older.

"Forgotten Towns": Ghost Towns of Humboldt County

As a special treat this spooky season, the Museum will be hosting a program talking about the forgotten towns of Humboldt County. These towns are Arnold, Sumner, Addison, and Unique. Admission is $5.00 for adults over 18 with children 18 and under free.

Halloween Open House 2024

Come on out Hallow's weekend and see what goes bump in the night at the Museum! Bring your goody bags to earn sweet treats as you brave the Museum after dark.
